It was fun going back to Imperial College, London, to talk to PhD students from a range of institutions at the Leaving Footprints Conference – part of their doctoral training programmes. I discussed engaging a wide audience, my interest in urban ecology telling ‘stories’ about research, & writing narrative non-fiction books.
