While I knew this little jewel just round the corner from King’s Cross station hasn’t been open to the public for sometime, I decide to visit today to see where it is and how the development is going.
The park is a long thin oblong running more or less north south. I walk round it and enjoy the calm of the Regent’s Canal in the sun. A narrow boat is working its way through the lock – not something which can be rushed. From the tow path the park is a dense and enticing forest.
At the north end, the new visitors’ centre is taking shape. Even half built it’s a nice-looking building.
